Writing as a Creative Superpower: Building Connors Designs One Word at a Time
Back at it today—writing, creating, and trying to tap into the same flow I found yesterday. It started as freestyle journaling, but before I knew it, I was crafting a poem. That’s the energy I want to keep. Writing every day. No pressure, just letting the words come out and seeing where they take me.
Some of these writings will turn into poems or songs naturally. Others might be the seeds for blog posts, video scripts, or ideas I didn’t even know I had. I’ve realized that the more I write, the better I get—not just at writing itself but at organizing my thoughts, refining my vision, and creating something I can actually share with the world.
I was watching a YouTube video earlier about how writing is the backbone of any online business. That clicked for me. Writing is everywhere—website descriptions, blog posts, my About Me page, and even prompts for AI-generated artwork. It’s the foundation for designing content, whether it’s social media, newsletters, or videos. Writing really is a superpower in this digital world.
Looking back, I’ve already put in hundreds—probably over a thousand—hours into journaling and freestyle writing over the past five years. Sure, I’ve written poems and songs too, but the majority of my writing has been like this—just getting into a flow, clearing out my mind, and making space for new ideas. And now, all that practice is starting to pay off.
For the past two years, writing on this tablet instead of a journal has made a big difference. It’s easier to edit, tweak, and even integrate AI tools to improve my work. Now, I’m building something real—Connors Designs—and planning to release it at the start of 2025.
The focus right now? Getting my shop ready and adding my pyrography art and original acrylic paintings as the first pieces for sale before I start offering prints. I’m also setting up my YouTube channel and getting my Google Workspace in place. Next steps include opening an LLC for the business and my Yellowstone property—pieces of the bigger vision I’ve had for years.
What really excites me, though, is sharing my work. I’ve talked about selling my art and starting this website for so long, and now it’s finally happening. I’ve made it this far—three out of five sections of the site are already done. The last steps are within reach.
It’s more than a business; it’s about releasing my message into the universe. Art, music, writing, videos—it’s all connected. Once I’m fully set up, I can track what people connect with most and focus on creating more of it. That’s the plan. Build momentum, keep creating, and let it grow.
For now, I’m just excited to see the progress. After years of ideas, sketches, and late-night writing sessions, I’m finally opening the gates. I can’t wait to share what I’ve been working on and see where this next chapter leads.
