Pen Artwork Gallery

I’m excited to share some of my pen artwork, particularly because I’m genuinely pleased with how many of them turned out. Without a platform like this, these pieces would likely remain tucked away in my sketchbook, unseen by anyone. Many of these works are inspired by zen doodle art, tattoo designs, and other black-and-white artwork that I find intriguing. While I don’t have any tattoos myself, you’ll notice that many of these pieces resemble tattoo concepts.

In 2018-2019, I went through a period where my creative space was limited by my environment. During this time, I decided to focus on a simple, low-maintenance medium: pen art. Using just a ballpoint pen or gel pen on a notepad, I was able to create anywhere, with minimal setup. This stripped-down approach gave me the freedom to draw wherever I was, making the most of what I had on hand.

As a child, I primarily worked with pencil drawings, so pen drawing felt like a natural extension of that early experience. One of the things I enjoy most about working with pen is that there’s no eraser—if you make a mistake, you have to embrace it and incorporate it into the artwork, which encourages spontaneity and flow.

While I may return to pen art in the future, I’ve currently been more focused on pyrography, as it’s a unique and niche medium that I find incredibly satisfying and well-received by others.

Thank you for exploring this collection of my pen work—each piece reflects my growth as an artist and my continued exploration of creative expression.
