Writing as a Creative Superpower: Building Connors Designs One Word at a Time
Back at it today—writing, creating, and trying to tap into the same flow I found yesterday. It started as freestyle journaling, but before I knew it, I was crafting a poem. That’s the energy I want to keep. Writing every day. No pressure, just letting the words come out and seeing where they take me.

My Art Journey and What I’ve Learned along the way
I’ve been on a creative journey for as long as I can remember. Both of my parents were artists in their own ways, so art was always part of my life. My mom is a writer and poet, but she’s also done sewing art, painting, oil pastels, and mixed media. She always kept me stocked with art supplies and encouraged me to create—whether it was painting Easter eggs or making Christmas ornaments every year. My dad was a craftsman who built furniture, houses, and outdoor spaces. He used to take his work to art fairs under the name Connors Designs—a name I’ve now revived for my own art business.

Why Art Matters: My Perspective as an Artist
Art has always been a part of my life. From sketching pictures as a child to creating pyrography, paintings, and designs today, I’ve found that art is more than a hobby—it’s a way of living. For me, art is about expression, connection, growth, and impact. It’s a way to process emotions, tell stories, and leave something meaningful behind.

Exploring Music Festivals: My Journey with Flow Arts
The first music festival I ever went to was Electric Forest in 2018. My friend Christian invited me after telling me about the epic time his group had the year before, and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. It completely changed how I viewed music events. I was introduced to a whole new world—a community, a culture, and a deeper connection to creativity and nature. I had been to concerts before, but nothing even close to this scale. Camping for the weekend and fully immersing myself in the experience made it something I’ll never forget.

Cruising the Caribbean: Finding Artistic Inspiration on the Islands
arlier this month, I embarked on an 11-night Caribbean cruise with my mom and brother. While I love the mountains and natural beauty of Colorado, I’ve always been drawn to destinations surrounded by water—oceans, rivers, or lakes—places that feel so different from our landlocked state. Traveling together has become a cherished family tradition, a chance to reconnect and catch up while exploring new cultures and landscapes.
