I began exploring the art of wood burning (pyrography) in 2018, when a friend, inspired by my painting, gifted me a basic pyrography tool kit. From there, my interest grew, and I invested in professional-grade tools, allowing me to refine my technique and create over 30+ plaques, primarily on basswood. As a self-taught artist across all mediums, I have learned the nuances of pyrography through trial and error, gradually developing my style and skill set.

Initially unsure of how I would connect with wood burning, I quickly realized that my background in drawing, cultivated from childhood, gave me a natural affinity for this medium. Pyrography has since become one of my most rewarding art forms, offering a unique opportunity to deeply connect with the canvas. The rich aromas of the burning wood, combined with the texture of the grain and bark, bring a tactile and immersive element to the creative process.

In my pyrography work, I create a wide range of designs, including portraits, animals, nature scenes, fantasy imagery, zen doodles, and more. Each piece is a reflection of my evolving creativity and deep connection with nature, which continues to inspire my work.
